Dave is a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Argent Wealth Management, Inc. He is one of our most seasoned advisors and provides holistic tax and financial advisory services, utilizing his comprehensive technical knowledge of asset allocation models, investment products and strategies, risk management, insurance, option strategies, retirement and gift planning, and income tax planning for high net-worth individuals and their families.
Dave’s career began in the tax division of Arthur Andersen in 1984 providing tax advice to high net-worth individuals and large financial institutions, such as banks and insurance companies. In 1987, Dave assumed responsibility for and organized the financial planning practice in the firm’s Boston office.
In 1992, Dave started The Duchesneau Group, Inc. in Weston, MA, building on his unique concept of a fee-for-services-based business. The Duchesneau Group changed its name to Argent Wealth Management and today, Dave is CEO of Argent Wealth Management.
Dave attended Bryant University from 1977 to 1981 where he earned a BSBA in accounting and he attended Western New England School of Law from 1981 to 1984 where he earned a J. D.
Dave is licensed to practice law in MA and CT. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and he is licensed in MA as a Certified Public Accountant.
Bill has more than 25 years of experience in wealth management for high net worth individuals, families, and foundations. His career began with Touche Ross & Company and continued in private practice before joining Babson Financial Management where he was a vice president. In 1986, Bill co-founded Tax & Financial Advisors which was renamed Pillar Financial in 1998, and then merged with Argent Wealth Management in 2013.
Bill graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. Later he earned his Juris Doctor at Boston College Law School and a LL.M. in Taxation at Boston University. Bill served on both the Northeast-Mid-Atlantic Board of Directors and on the National Board of the National Association Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and was named one of the 30 most influential members of NAFPA in its 30-year history! He is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) and served on the Board of Directors twice. Bill was named to Worth Magazine’s list of Top Financial Advisors five times, an award also bestowed on him by Barron’s twice in his career.
Bill enjoys cycling, sailing, skiing and is an active volunteer for charitable organizations. He is a proud member of the Dana Farber Flames Pan Mass Challenge team and serves as a Director and Treasurer of EV Kids, which provides tutoring for at risk youth in grades 4-12 and a college success program to help them stay on track. He also served on the Board of Directors and as Commodore of the Winchester Boat Club and as a member of the Winchester, MA Retirement Board.
As a Managing Director of Argent Wealth Management, Rich provides comprehensive tax, investment and financial advisory services tailored to the specific needs of high net worth individuals. He also serves as Argent’s Chief Compliance Officer. He is licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and has a Series 65 securities license which enables him to act as an investment advisor.
Rich began his career in the tax division of Deloitte & Touche in Boston, MA, focusing on providing tax services to closely-held businesses, high net-worth individuals and public companies. He spent a significant amount of time on the firm’s national, state, and local tax groups as well as on employee benefits plans. In 1991, Rich went to CML Group, Inc., a public company where he served as the Vice President of Taxes and in-house counsel. Rich joined Argent in 1999.
Rich received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany. He earned his JD from New England School of Law and a L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. He previously served as President of the Medway Foundation for Education, a not-for-profit organization charged with raising capital to fund innovative, educational projects throughout the public schools in Medway, MA. He is also an active member of the Directors Club of the New England Home for Little Wanderers where he volunteers his time, provides mentoring and participates in activities for the children.
Rich enjoys spending time at his lake house, boating, skiing, golf and music. He has two children, Ryan and Emma.
A co-founder of Pillar Financial Advisors in 1986, Beth is a Certified Public Accountant accredited as a Personal Financial Specialist and has been recognized by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils as a professional who has met special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina and earned her M.S.B.A. in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Isenberg School of Management. She is a member of the Women for UMass steering committee and served on the Board of Directors of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation from 2003 to 2013.
For seven consecutive years, Worth Magazine named Beth as one of the “best financial advisors” in the country. The Boston Globe has described her as one of “New England’s leading financial planners.” Beth has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, The Journal of Accountancy, The New York Times, and Fortune and has appeared on CNBC and Comcast’s “Money Matters Today” show.
Beth is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC) and was an inaugural member of The Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Committee. She served on the Executive Committee of the Personal Financial Planning Division of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and two terms on the AICPA’s National CPA Financial Literacy Commission. She recently completed a 3-year term on the AICPA Investment Committee.
In 2009 Beth received the Personal Financial Planning Distinguished Service Award from the AICPA and in 2010 The Boston Estate Planning Council selected Beth as its Estate Planner of the Year in recognition of her significant contributions to the estate planning profession. This award represents the highest honor that BEPC can bestow upon its member and industry colleagues.
Her interests include opera and classical music, traveling, working out, riding her bike, and cooking. Her personal passions are her family, especially her five grandchildren!
Kim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who has served the firm since 2000. Her areas of expertise include portfolio management, tax planning, tax preparation and financial planning. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Marketing at Northeastern University in Boston. She earned her Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University.
Kim completed Charles Schwab & Co.’s exclusive one-year Executive Leadership Program. This rigorous program combines curriculum developed by the nation’s leading business schools with real-world RIA firm experiences. Kim is currently a candidate to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
Kim grew up in upstate New York and enjoys spending time with her three sons and husband. When she can’t be found in a hockey rink with her boys, she can be found traveling, cooking, and exercising.
Lynn is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who has served the firm since 2008. Previously, she was with State Street Bank as Director of Fund Accounting. Lynn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College.
She is a member of NAPFA and the Financial Planning Association. Lynn lives in Franklin with her husband and two daughters.
Matt earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. His areas of expertise include portfolio management; estate planning; gift, estate, trust, and individual taxation; and financial planning. He works closely with business owners, VC entrepreneurs, and multigenerational families in all aspects of their financial lives. Prior to Argent, Matt worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Grant Thornton LLP in their private wealth services group. In addition to being a licensed attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™.
Matt recently completed a 3-year term as a member of The Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Network. The goals of this group are to bring together professionals from a variety of disciplines to develop a deeper understanding of philanthropy and learn ways to incorporate philanthropy into their work. Matt enjoys skiing, biking, and traveling in his spare time.
Jeffrey is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who joined Argent Wealth Management in 2014 as financial advisor, having previously worked as an associate at GW & Wade in Wellesley, MA for three years. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 2009. His specific areas of expertise include tax and estate planning.
Oliver Ball is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ who joined Argent Wealth Management in 2014 as a Financial and Tax Planning Associate. Prior to joining Argent, Oliver interned at Lexington Wealth Management in Lexington, MA.
Raised in Monroe, CT, Oliver graduated magna cum laude from Bentley University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance with a minor in Computer Information Systems. Oliver’s computer expertise is evident in his skills with Excel, where he is a master at its VBA programming language; Orion, our firm’s investment accounting software; and eMoney, our comprehensive wealth planning software.
Oliver supports senior advisors by running a variety of financial planning and investment reports and providing background information for client meetings. He prepares tax projections and simple to complex individual and trust tax returns. His non-work interests include outdoor activities, especially fishing, music, and playing the violin.
Joe joined Argent Wealth Management in 2015 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University. In his role as an Associate, Joe provides in depth analysis on the performance of client portfolios and assists senior advisors in all aspects of the financial planning process. Joe also contributes to the firm’s business development efforts by providing sample client demonstrations with Argent’s financial planning software.
Joe’s passion for investing began when he was accepted into the university’s Center for Advanced Financial Education as an Equity Portfolio Manager. During his tenure, the group received first place honors for their portfolio’s risk-adjusted performance at the Quinnipiac Global Asset Management Forum. Joe was on the Dean’s List during his junior and senior years and captain of the Men’s Varsity Basketball team.
Raised in Medway, MA, Joe now lives in Melrose with his wife, Laura. In his spare time he enjoys golf, reading, cooking and spending time with Laura.
